A theme wedding is my favorite. They truly can be a lot of fun. I just went to one of the best weddings and receptions I’ve ever attended. The ceremony and reception was done in country western.
A quaint little country church was the location of the wedding ceremony. The church was beautifully decorated with satin ribbon and bows, flowers and candles. The bridesmaids and flower girl wore gorgeous baby blue dresses with flowered hair pieces. The tuxes with the white boutonnieres in the lapels made the groomsmen and the little ring boy looked quite handsome. But all eyes were focused on the elegant bride and groom. They were a picure perfect couple. When the ceremony ended the happy couple left for the reception in a horse drawn buggy.
The couple had purchased a nice little ranch outside of town and that’s where they decided to have their reception. This was a prime piece of property, with a nice house, a barn and two acres of land. I would have loved to have started my married life out in a place like this.
You could tell she put a lot of effort into planning this reception. It was absolutely perfect. Each checkered tablecloth had centerpieces of wild flowers in little metal buckets. She did a fantastic job, not just with the décor, but also the wedding themes. White christmas lights mixed in with a few lanterns completely encircled the picnic tables. With the décor consisting of hay bales and corn stalks on the barn doors, this really gave the perfect appearance of a country reception. They made sure there were plenty of things the kids would enjoy as well as the adults. There were horse shoes, bobbing for apples, and barn dancing. It was great fun for everyone.
Their country western wedding cake topper was very comical and the cake itself was a masterpiece of confection. The cutest cake topper I’ve ever seen. The western themed champagne flutes were really unique. And she made place card holders out of these little cowboy hats. Everyone thought they were so cute.
There was plenty of delicious foods for everyone at the party. They grilled hot dogs and hamburgers, mostly for the kids, and steaks, ribs, and chicken for the adults, with choice of salads and vegetables. It was one heck of a cookout. It was a great reception, plenty to eat, great tunes to dance to and games to keep the kids happy for hours. The country western theme was a blast.
A beach themed reception is another great party to go to. There is nothing more beautiful than a beach wedding ceremony. It’s so romantic with the sunset above the ocean. The warm breeze and the sound of the waves simply adds to the ambiance of the ceremony. If I ever get married, I think this is the type of ceremony and reception I would want to have.
It was such a relaxed ceremony, with all wedding party and beautiful summer dresses and beach wear. Her gorgeous crepe bridal dress was as blue as the ocean waters, and his white linen attire made him even more handsome than he already was. You couldn’t ask for a more perfect ceremony than this wonderful dream wedding.
The reception was something special too. The reception tables were decorated with gorgeous beach themed accessories. She had a wonderful idea for centerpieces, with seashells, starfish and orchids surrounding two large white candles in a tray of sand. Her crystal champagne glasses had beach themed stems and her place card holders were little seashells.
She had everything in a beautiful beach décor, from her wedding cake topper to the wonderful theme wedding decorations she had put together. This was truly a wedding and reception to remember.

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009Planning an outside wedding wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be. In fact, it didn’t cost as much as an indoor wedding would have cost us. Having the natural beauty of the outdoors saved us a lot of money on decorations. I checked out a lot of places to have our summer wedding and reception. I could have had our wedding ceremony on the beach, with a fun filled beach party reception, or an elegant garden party, but I chose a ceremony and reception in the park. I was surprised at all the parks available for weddings.
Since I never planned a wedding like this before, I needed all the help I could get. I found out you need to have a plan B, in case inclement weather unexpectly arises. It’s a good idea to have a tent ready to continue your ceremony if it becomes necessary.
In our original wedding preparations, we had a lovely canopy set up for the reception and a lovely trellis for our ceremony. The only real decorations I needed were those for my wedding table and the guests reception tables. With the beautiful background of the park as our main décor, all I really needed besides table settings were a few extra flowers here and there. By using artificial flowers I thought we may be able to avoid any univited guests, like bees. The only way you could tell that the flowers were artificial, was by touch, they were beautiful. Planning this wedding wasn’t all that hard, but there was a little more than I expected. Even though some summer wedding invitations are fantastic, the heat can totally destroy your gorgeous wedding cake.
There was a variety of accessories available for the outdoor reception. I had little park bench place card holders at each table setting, and little citronella votive candles in glass globes with a nice flower arrangement as our centerpieces. The chrome bottle openers we bought for our guests were packaged in beautiful favors boxes and given out as a summer favor. The most beautiful part of our wedding table was our cake with it’s gorgeous wedding cake topper.
I found it while browsing online for my other wedding accessories, and fell in love with it. They were especially customized for the bride and groom. After I sent them a head shot of my fiance and myself they made our bride and groom topper to look exactly like us. How could I ask for a better wedding keepsake than that? Our friends and family were really loved the cake topper and gave us a lot of compliments on it. Our crystal champagne flutes and silver cake serving set was just a few of the fantastic accessories I ordered for our ceremony and reception. It was amazing all the super accessories you can buy online.
Everything at the wedding and reception were fantastic. Plan B never had to be used, since the weather was so beautiful, and thankfully it remained that way through the whole evening. The DJ we hired was really exceptional and I’m sure that the music played on long after my new husband and I left for our honeymoon. There were many good comments about our beautiful wedding ceremony and fun filled reception party we had. The park turned out to be the perfect place to have our wedding and reception. I’d love to do this again and have a wedding renewal in the park, maybe for an anniversary, someday.
Finding Great Wedding Albums for a Wedding!
Thursday, December 3rd, 2009I started shopping for my themed accessories and supplies as soon as we were sure we were having a beach wedding. First things first, I bought our beach themed wedding invitations. Since I had a couple of invitations I had to do over again, I was really glad I bought extra. After I got the invitations out of the way, my next step was finding the right dress for a beach wedding. I looked at several dresses and gorgeous full length gowns, but really couldn’t make up my mind. I fell in love with two of the floor length gowns, but wasn’t quite sure if it would be uncomfortable to wear to a beach wedding. I found a beautiful beaded knee length dress made of light weight materials of satin and lace, with spaghetti straps for my wedding.
Linen beach dresses with a crocheted halter covering was what I chose for my bridesmaids. All the groomsmen wore linen white shirts and sand colored pants and my husband, to be looked so handsome in his blue linen shirt and white pants. The little sundress our flower girl wore looked so adorable on her and our ring boy looked so cute in his little khaki shorts and white shirt. Everyone in the wedding party looked fantastic and the bouquets were absolutely the most beautiful arrangements I could have found.
I wish now,with all the photos of our wedding being taken, that I would have bought two wedding albums, instead of only one. I want pictures of everything and everyone at our wedding, all the gorgeous decorations, and our lovely reception. Pictures of our satin canopy and flowered arch where we stood to take our vows was a definite must. Directly after the ceremony we left to change into more suitable beach wear for the reception party. Although a few of our wedding party went home to change into their beach clothes, there were some that decided to just wear their swimsuits under their wedding clothes. The guests were informed on the invitations to wear casual clothing.
Our guests seemed impressed with the wedding accessories for our reception tables that were done in a beach themed décor. I bought everything for our tables at the same place I bought our lovely beach themed wedding album. The place card holders I chose were these miniature beach chairs that can later be used as photo frames. The guests seemed to like them, and I thought they were just adorable. The beach wedding favors I chose for our guests made the perfect little thank you gifts. We bought them little tea lights in the shape of sand castles to represent our oceanside reception. I found quite a bit of accessories and decorations for our beach themed reception tables and the bride and groom table as well. Not only did I find the perfect wedding cake topper, but I also bought their beach themed crystal flutes, wine glasses, cake serving set and so much more.
Some of the guests were commenting on the gorgeous décor of our reception tables. I added some tiki torches everywhere and put gel candles on all of our guests wedding reception tables to help add a touch of atmosphere to everything. Planning this beach wedding and reception was a lot easier than I thought it would be, with all the accessories and supplies they had. Everything was like a dream come true, with the beautiful ocean waves and the warm summer sands as our wedding chapel and reception location.
Every once in a while I take out our beach themed leather wedding photo album and remember our special day.

I started with our beach themed wedding invitations. One thing I discovered was to be sure you always buy extra invitations, just in case you make a mistake and have yourself a do over, like I did. With the invitations all done and on their way to our prospective guests, I could move on to picking out the beach wedding dress I wanted for our ceremony. I looked at several dresses and gorgeous full length gowns, but really couldn’t make up my mind. I was unsure about the two full length wedding gowns I found, I didn’t want to be uncomfortable at my beach wedding. I picked out a gorgeous spaghetti strapped dress made of satin and lace with beautiful little beads scattered around it, in a knee length.

I was sure to let the photographer know I wanted plenty of photos of our vow exchange under our satin canopy and lovely flowered arch. Directly after the ceremony we left to change into more suitable beach wear for the reception party. Although a few of our wedding party went home to change into their beach clothes, there were some that decided to just wear their swimsuits under their wedding clothes. I wrote on all the invitations to dress in casual clothing for this wedding.

Some of the guests were commenting on the gorgeous décor of our reception tables. Adding to the oceanside atmosphere were lots of gel candles I bought from them to put on our reception tables, and a few tiki torches were placed around the area. With all the accessories and supplies for the wedding and beach party reception, it made planning so much easier. It couldn’t have been a more perfect dream wedding and reception, with the gorgeous ocean as our background and the warm sand under our feet.
Now I can look through our special beach wedding photo album and enjoy that day once again.

I wish I would have known about all there is on the web, when I was planning my wedding. I found so many different decorations and every kind of embellishment you could think of on the internet. There were plenty of suggestions for beach weddings that I thought were very nice with little seashells, starfish and other oceanside designs. There were also some pretty clever ideas for garden and other summer and spring weddings and receptions. I found very exceptional new wedding selections for seasonal ceremonies. I know the winter wonderland wedding supplies were absolutely exquisite with that gorgeous sparkle of the winter season. Did you know that some couples actually have a winter wedding outside? To me having a wedding in the winter outside would be a beautiful site to see and yet a little way out of the norm. I think I’d rather have my winter wonderland wedding and reception, indoors, where it’s warm. It’s looks like when this is finished being planned, that it will be a big family barbecue with dear friends. Which when I think of it, sounds like a pretty good time for all. Now that I knew what to expect I decided to get all the western gear, like blue jeans, cowboy boots, and cowboy hats so I can participate in all the fun. This wedding is going to be the wedding of the year and probably won’t be forgotten for a long time. Our daughter’s wedding was so much fun, that I’m considering have a country western renewal ceremony and reception for our anniversary.

Instead of a normal reception it is looking more like a family get together that has hayrides and outdoor grills. I know it will be a lot of fun and enjoyment for everybody. I was surprised to hear that they are going to have a barn dance in a good ole country western style. Now that I knew what to expect I decided to get all the western gear, like blue jeans, cowboy boots, and cowboy hats so I can participate in all the fun. This is going to be a wedding to remember and will be talked about for years to come. Our daughter’s wedding was so much fun, that I’m considering have a country western renewal ceremony and reception for our anniversary.
An Outstanding Birthday Party Invitation!
Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009The first thing I did when I decided to give my girlfriend a bridal shower was to put together a list of everything I was going to need for thte shower. The first priority was finding a party invitation. Now I’m one of those women that really doesn’t like shopping where I have to fight the crowds, or wait in line for price checks, so I decided to go online and see what I could come up with for the bridal shower. That was the right thing to do. The options I had were staggering, and the cost was very low. The price I paid on some things were almost criminal. The script on the party invitations was silver, and the edges were pearl; they looked exquisite. It wasn’t a place that specialized in bridal acessories, either; they had basic party invitations and engagement party invitations, too, along with other things.
I found some darling place card holders for the party as well, among other things. Another item I picked out for the bride was a sign-in book for guests so that she could keep track of who gave her what gifts easily. A particular design for a place card holder struck me as being really neat. They had these little plastic handbags that I filled with colorful little candies and found place cards with pink lilies printed on them. They looked so nice on the party tables along with the decorations and party favors I chose for everyone. You should see all the cute litte favor boxes you can get for just about any ocassion you are planning on celebrating. I chose little floral patterned boxes which I stacked on a cake plate in layers and sat on the gift table. Every person at the bridal shower took a gift from the platter, and it looked classy that way. I settled on manicure kits for our thank you gifts, and then I got a few more things to be handed out to the winners of the contests that we were going to hold. I found some random things to hand out as awards, such as unique key rings, little vanity mirrors, and special soaps.
There were plenty of proposals for bridal shower games on the web as well. There was a real funny one called ‘Take It Off ‘ where everyone puts a paper bag over their heads and then the hostess tells everyone to remove one article, and you’d be surprised how many ladies don’t think to remove the bag. It’s comical to watch that game unfold, and it’s a good way to see just how smart your friends are. There are other mirthful games that we did, like bridal bingo. Looking online saved me a ton of money and exposed me to a lot of options I, otherwise, wouldn’t have known anything about. I know I got a super deal on the favors and invitations I picked out. Not only did I get high quality accessories, but they didn’t cost me half of what I had expected to pay for it all, and there were so many options to choose from. Since the website also sold wedding invitations and favors, I let my friend who was about to get married know about it, since I was sure she could use a wide selection to pick from. Getting her things for the wedding here will save her money and give her some great ideas to work with. I know it helped to make this bridal shower a success. The attendees all adored their presents and had a wonderful time. Now that the party is over, I’m filling out the guest thank you cards thanking them for attending. Naturally, I bought the cards for thank yous over the Intenet as well. With all the web has to offer, I’m helping my friend plan her sons’ birthday party.
Making the right choice when it comes to wedding favor ideas
Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009It took me a while before I could decide on a theme for our ceremony and reception party. I liked the idea of a beach wedding, but a garden wedding or country western theme sounded pretty great too. But on the other hand there is a lot to be said for tradition. Destination weddings also sounds like a great idea. How great would it be to have a ceremony and reception in Las Vegas, or maybe take it all the way to Hawaii? I would probably go for the Hawaii destination. But then I thought about all the people that would be disappointed that they couldn’t be there, and I had to toss that idea in the dumpster.
Then I thought about a winter themed wedding. But since we were getting married in July, that just didn’t seem appropriate. I decided to go with the last, but not least of the wedding theme ideas, and have a fairy tale ceremony and reception. There were plenty of fairy tale accessories and ideas to work with for the perfect story book wedding. The bakery even had wedding cakes that worked out with my idea. So my decision was made. I wanted a fairy tale wedding and reception.
I had no problem finding the perfect wedding invitations online. There were also plenty of accessories and supplies to pick out for my storybook wedding. My wedding dress was absolutely gorgeous and the bridesmaids and flower girl had beautiful dresses that were floor length. My handsome fiance and all of his wedding party looked so elegant in their tuxes, even the little ring boy looked like royalty. When I walked down the aisle towards my husband to be I really felt like I was royalty. Our wedding ceremony was more beautiful than I could have hoped for. The flowers, the candles, and the gorgeous satin bows on the end of the pews really set the whole thing off. As we were leaving the church, everyone tossed rose petals and cheered us on. Instead of a limo, we had a horse drawn carriage waiting outside.
A real castle wouldn’t haved looked as good as our reception hall with all of the fantastic accessories and decorations. I was able to find all the accessories I needed for this special themed wedding and some very lovely wedding favors for our friends and family. I even found adorable boxes for each and every wedding favor. I can’t believe all the accessories I was able to get for my fairy tale reception. I decided on little coaches for place card holders and the gorgeous place card holders that looked just like Cinderella coach. They just have everything I could possibly need for the perfect fairy tale wedding and reception.
Some of our guests commented on the themed décor and told us what a great time they were having. A friend of ours told us it was the most fantastic dream wedding she’s ever seen. I know I was impressed and it was my wedding. I’m so glad that I chose this theme and found so many accessories to help me make it happen. Since this was a special day in my life, I wanted everything to be special. I made sure their wedding gift boxes were of a storybook theme, just like our wedding cake and other accessories. I felt that a momento of this special day would mean more than any other gift I could give them. A special something to remind them of sharing this very special ceremony with us.
I had a lot of thank you note to take care of when we got back from our honeymoon. Believe it or not, I was able to get thank you notes with a fairytale theme. I wouldn’t mind having a fairytale anniversary renewal ceremony.
