We chose a few cool decorations to display in our yard and around our house, also. We got a huge giant spider that practically covers half our porch. This is a really cool looking spider. My husband went crazy over it as soon as he saw it. We also ordered a lot of bats, spiders and other eerie creatures for the porch. He filled the yard with eerie ghosts, more scarry props and graves placed everywhere. He was really starting to get into it. It was like watching a little kid with a new toy. All my little girl talked about was wearing a fairy dress costume for Halloween. She has this thing for fairies. But she couldn’t make up her mind what kind of fairy she should be. To tell you the truth, I don’t think Daddy would be to thrilled about being a fairy for halloween. It ‘s kind of sweet to think of a fairy tale family.
He burst out laughing when I let him know about our little girls idea. I tried to make her understand that fairies are little girls. Then she informed me that she has a movie that has boy fairies in it. What kind of come back could I have for that? All I could do was keep her busy looking for her halloween outfit and hope she forgot her family fairy idea. We kept searching for her perfect costume with a fairy princess and other fairy tale costumes. There was quite a selection to look over. She did find one she thought would be perfect for me. She said since I was a mommy anyway, I should wear a fairy godmother costume. I agreed that it sounded like a good idea and I would think about it.
After she took care of mommy and her little sister, we went back to her costume searching. At last she found the one she had been looking for. It was a snowflake fairy. It really was one of the prettiest costumes. It was completely white and perfect for a snow fairy. At last she was all set. Now we had to look for all the accessories she would need to go with it. We found the fairy wings and snowflake wand that was perfect for her little costume. We also picked out a snowflake fairy tiara to go with the outfit. She was all set with white shoes and tights for it. So our little snowflake fairy was all taken care of. I placed an order for her sister’s costume too. The tulip fairy is what she would be.
We did pretty good as far as getting all the decorations and props we needed. My husband is enjoying doing all this decorating for the holiday. Our daughter enjoyed giving Dad a helping hand in decorating. She is anxiously awaiting halloween this year. We all had to put on our costumes for her as soon as they got here. Both the tulip fairy and the snowflake fairy looked adorable. I broke down and agreed to be the fairy godmother this year. Dear old Dad lost the battle, and is going to be the tooth fairy, after all.
