Textbook Rental

One way to save a bit of money in school, to challenge yourself or to do research is textbook rental. Textbooks are very expensive, costing upwards of a few hundred dollars. It’s simply not practical to purchase textbooks for short courses or if you only need them for a small amount of time. With textbook rental you are not paying anything if you are renting from the library. If you are studying a subject short term and want to educate yourself then it is much more economic to rent the texbook than it is to purchase several books. For example if you need to write an article on American history you can rent several textbooks to get perspective of the subject rather than to purchase one book for hundreds of dollars. Textbooks aren’t put through the same stringent abuse as regular rental books and they are large and durable so you generally won’t have to worry that pages will be damaged or missing. Textbook rental is a much better choice than purchasing if your classes are short and you want to save money. A better option by far.
